The marshall makes sure we are on the right spot. We started seventh on the grid.
Finally I got to race with my local team, the championship winning Subculuture Racing. My partner was Jim Wood, with whom Wade Boyd had originally paired me up before the season began. Several rigs had problems during and even before the race, and our rig, being the only F2 racer, had a rather lonely race. We suffered handling problems and decided to pull into the pits and retired. Not bad at all first time out together.
Frank Riolo/Dennis Crueger won the race, with defending US champions Subculture's Wade Boyd/Rory O'Connor finishing ahead of Rick Murray/Mark Paget.
